The Old and the New

A conrast of life meets in Astna very often. There is one of them. It is the conrast between the old and the new. You see that contrast on my photo. There are a new palace and an old country cottage as a symbol old and new epochs. Astana. Kazakhstan. August 2009.

KADEX-2010 Military Exhibition

KADEX-2010 is the first Kazakhstan’s exhibition of arms, military equipments and defence industry. KADEX was held from 26 to 29 May in Astana. About 150 companies was taking part in the exhibition. The exhibition was located at the airbase of Airforce of Kazakhstan.

There is a guard of honour get ready for their show.

The famous companies had been here for example: Indra, EADS, IAI, Aselsan, Elbit, Rafael, MBDA, NORINCO, Finmeccanica, IMI and more others. Continue reading

Pyramide in Holiday

It is the morning of 31 August 2009. In three hours the parade of Kazakhstan’s independence will be to start. A few of passerby are here for a while. A quiet and calm are here now. Astana. Kazakhstan.

Highvill

I present to you a photo of the residential community “Highvill”. There are all-in-one there. Parkings, gyms, clubs, parks and even theatre are there. But it is very very very expensive. You can see more photos on the site http://www.highvill.kz. Astana. Kazakshtan.

Spaciousness

I think how is the name of this photo but nothing is going in my head. In short I give you a chance to choose the name from those: a scope, a space or an elbowroom. This is the primary landscape of Kazakhstan. We have a lot of steppes (a prairies) here. The place of photo is in 30 km from Astana. Or… What do you think of the name “the road to nowhere”?

Frozen Sunset

You can see the next photo from my “frozen” series of the winter 2009-2010. The first time in winter 2009-2010 a temperature was fallen down lower minus 30 Celsius. It is very cold but very beautiful. You can see it with me but don’t have any frost. Photo was made at Astana, Kazakhstan.

Frozen Mud

This is once again theme of frozen things. Today we have a frozen mud. It is November 2009. Yesterday it was raining but it was a frost today. As a result you have this picture. And what are you thinking about? Does Astana have just only superroads and skyscrapers? No. We have still such buildings and mud roads. Astana. Kazakhstan. Photo was made autumn 2009.

Frozen Anthill
